Karsen Melgard

Karsen is an associate attorney specializing in a variety of civil litigation matters, including labor and employment litigation, medical malpractice appeals, and health insurance coverage disputes.

 

Prior to joining Cole Pedroza, Karsen was an Honors Program attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of Information Policy.  Prior to this, she clerked for the Honorable Kevin Doyle of the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont.

 

Karsen received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego in psychology.  She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she served on the Law Review Executive Board as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor.  Additionally, she was a member of UC Irvine School of Law’s International Justice Clinic where she focused her advocacy on the right to freedom of expression in the digital realm.
