Alysia Carroll

Alysia Carroll represents clients from a wide array of industries in all aspects of civil litigation including trial, arbitration, civil writs and appeals.   Alysia’s current practice focuses on general business litigation, labor and employment, and appeals.  In her business litigation practice, Alysia handles a broad spectrum of commercial matters including contract disputes, partnership and shareholder conflicts, business torts, and real estate litigation.  Alysia has significant experience representing employers in labor and employment matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and defamation.

 

In the healthcare sector, Alysia routinely provides advice and counsel to health care systems, hospitals, physicians, and health payors on a variety of issues ranging from general civil medical malpractice defense to arbitration of payor-provider disputes.  Recent areas of counsel include the impact of new autonomous nurse practitioner designations on physician liability and the application of state and federal immunity statutes arising from the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.

 

Prior to joining Cole Pedroza in 2018, Alysia was an associate at McGuireWoods LLP as a member of the firm’s complex commercial litigation group where she worked on a variety of cases ranging from commercial lease disputes to CERCLA contribution actions.

 

Alysia received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School where she served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Legislation.  Alysia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame.

 

Alysia is admitted to practice in California, the United States District Court for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

 

Alysia is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Associations and the John M. Langston Bar Association of Los Angeles.  Alysia serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Patron Saints Foundation.
