Joshua Traver is a partner of Cole Pedroza LLP, and for more than 20 years has been a trial attorney practicing in the areas of employment law (defense), medical staff disputes, healthcare reimbursement law, and commercial litigation.
Joshua tries cases for health systems, medical groups, universities, hospitals, manufacturers, construction entities, and insurance companies in state and federal jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations. Joshua is often called to handle cases at trial that are initially defended by other law firms. For cases handled from inception, Joshua takes an efficient approach to litigation that emphasizes early assessment and targeted investigation and discovery. He is frequently able to manage discovery disputes efficiently and he scrupulously avoids unnecessary motion practice. Joshua also has substantial experience handling cases on appeal and has represented parties in several published appellate decisions. Joshua brings his depth of appellate experience to every matter he handles in trial courts, as well as in arbitration.
Joshua is a proud and active member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel (ASCDC) and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada (ADC). He graduated cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Loyola Law School in 2003. He graduated cum laude from the University of California at San Diego in 2000.
